Purpose: The purpose of this Soccer Association is to teach, govern and promote the game of soccer for youth players in recreational league play, under the auspices of the Town and Country Optimist Club.

It is the intent of this organization to teach good sportsmanship, educate all participants and adult sponsors in the fundamentals of the game, promote the game through sponsorship of the regularly scheduled competition, and conduct other educational activities as appropriate for youth soccer.

Operational Summary: Except as otherwise noted by the Town & Country Soccer Association, the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) "Laws of the Game" will provide the basic rules and regulations for the soccer games sponsored by the Soccer Association.

The Soccer Association is affiliated with both United States Youth Soccer Assocation (USYSA) and United States Club Soccer (USCS), the specific affiliations are relative to the age group the children play in U12 and above for USYSA U10 and below for USCS, both sanctioning bodies are divisions of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

The Town & Country Youth Sports Complex is comprised of 96-acres with over 20 soccer fields. Nearly 2500 youth players participate in the D-III and D-IV recreational programs. Where possible the T&C recreational teams play against each other (intra-club) with 8 games in the Spring and 10 games in the Fall season, age groups and teams that play an inter-club schedule are subject to the game count allocated by the league adminstrator of which T&C is a member.
